Biostar pledges to support the efforts of Horses' Honor Rescue & Sanctuary in January & February 2012.

This means that a portion of all Empower EQ sales throughout January and February will be donated to support the efforts of Horses' Honor.

A Word from BioStar Associate, Gundi Younger

Horses' Honors is a non-profit organization that provides sanctuary in a safe, natural environment to horses that would otherwise face likely slaughter or unnecessary euthanasia.

I personally support this organization because they need on-going financial support to provide for the neediest horses. Some of their residents include horses that were too emaciated even to be processed by the slaughter house!

These horses find a forever-home at Horses' Honors and need food, veterinary care and farrier care. Volunteers give the horses love and assist in many ways, but it is only through monetary donations and tack sales, that this organization can be funded.

Just recently they took in a new rescue named Roxy. The vet said he had never seen a horse that thin that was still alive. She is thriving under Nina's attentive care, enjoying her hay and supplement. She is alert, affectionate, and follows Nina around like a little puppy.
